CARAVAN GVM UPGRADES

Is your caravan underrated? Do you need a higher GVM/ATM so that you can load more items into your caravan?

Bold TCRC is Sydney’s leading centre for GVM/ATM upgrades to caravans and trailers. We pioneered this service and compliance upgrade working with engineers certified by the department of Roads and Maritime (Now Transport for NSW). We’ve developed a highly qualified team of licensed tradespeople who work together to provide these consulting and modification solutions for our customers so they can legally increase the GVM/ATM of their vehicles.

What is the process to upgrade your caravan GVM?

Step 1: Book an appointment with the RMS Certified Engineer at Bold TCRC to assess your caravan – Call (02) 8544-8114.

Step 2: At your assessment appointment you will discuss your GVM/ATM goals with the engineer and they will inspect your caravan. You will take your caravan home after this appointment.

Step 3: The RMS certified engineer will report back with what modifications need to be made to obtain a higher GVM rating and you will be provided with an estimate of costs.

Step 4: Once approved, the modifications are completed.

Step 5: The engineer re-inspects the caravan to certify that it is now capable of a higher GVM rating.

Step 6: The engineer provides the certificate required to amend the caravans registration.

Step 7: You will take the engineer certificate to Service NSW and they will issue you with new registration paperwork.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

If you are increasing or decreasing the GVM of your caravan you will need an engineers certificate to change the details of the caravans registration at Service NSW. Bold Trailer And Caravan Repair Centre can organise the Roads and Maritime certified engineer to do this for you.

We work with Roads and Maritime certified engineers specifically for GVM upgrades. While your caravan is with us we can arrange for the engineer to come to our workshop for you.

That depends on your caravan. Some do and some don’t. The first step is for the engineer to inspect your caravan and tell us what (if anything) needs to be modified so that they will certify the caravan and provide the paperwork to get your GVM upgraded.
